I have never kept a more perfect posture at a show before. That was heavy. Heavy like a lecture from my intimidating professor in my Rhetoric and Public Culture class in college. That dude scared me. In this case, it was Stephin Merritt. I posted a few photos
...But I was too scared he’d see me in the crowd and come down off the stage with his voice and that guitar thing of his and get all hyper-literate on me.
(*A good show. Glad (relieved) when it was over. I wished they’d played ‘Nothing Matters When We’re Dancing’)
best ... three …paragraphs … ever ….
I haven’t felt that uncomfortable since that time I was kidnapped by buddhists … but the phucker sure can write a love song … My “wish” song was “I’m the Luckiest Guy”
Wow – talk about performance anxiety! I thought it was the performers on stage that were subject to stage fright – but now I realize we’re all in danger of it . . . .
