agreed, best of Saturday….. crowd was jumpin. I keep talking about my Holy Fuck experience…..
Been waiting years to see these guys live! Blew me away…
so bad! no one was laughing at his jokes, each punchline was met with an akward collective silence punctuated with boos! and heckles! the indie dj idea is pretty good but at a festival like this one i dont know if you really need music inbetween more music, you can already hear the other stages from the mainstage. and i dont really need to hear recorded music, live music, and the sound check all going on at the same time
For me this was the best show of the show hands down. it was unbelievable. the rock it and they look good doing it. the full package.
Band rules!
feel sorry for the band of horses tribe.
agreed. I think it just didn’t fit. I second the low volume dj’s idea.
so much better live. I still say if all their songs were like the song they closed with..
If you weren’t at this show, can you really say you were at Monolith?
i really did not enjoy this at all. it didn’t seem to fit the bill, plus i was surprised to learn he is actually a comedian.
With all respect to the MCs I think they should have local or even national underground djs play at lower volumes in between bands. The Dj can announce the bands as the come on and off the stage. People were making fun of the MCs and not many people were listening to them. We don’t need comedians we need music that keeps the downtime flowing.
surprisingly not all that funny…..he is saving his good stuff for today. Or maybe a tough stoner cynical crowd.
the MC for New Belgium stage we loved....
these guys were a pleasant surprise!
cut copy has been a favorite for years. i was a little disappointed by their Larimer Lounge performance, but yesterday was even worse. i don’t know if it was a case of a bad soundperson or if maybe they are just a great band on record, and not so great live. i walked out after 2 songs…. but they are still a favorite. on record.
i really didn’t know anything about them before i saw them, but it really wasn’t my thing at all. they sounded like paul simon. i was expecting (for some reason… maybe their name?) something along the lines of the Editors.
don’t miss this performance.
thanks allah that someone is still making music like this.
Great sound yeaterday! Look forwward to hearing more of the harder stuff.

Man, that was a gooooood show.
