The Hood Internet celebrated its one year anniversary this week by revamping its website (Culture Bully)

The Hood Internet

The Hood Internet is ABX (Aaron Brink) and STV SLV (Steve Reidell). Both members of the Chicago art-pop band May Or May Not (www.mayormaynot.org), the two created a blog in March 2007 to post their bizarre brand of mashups—boasting such unlikely pairings as R. Kelly and Broken Social Scene or T.I. and Fujiya & Miyagi.

In less than a year of existence, the duo has dropped over 100 tracks, a ten-song mixtape with Bay Area rappers The Pack, an “official” remix for Portland band Blitzen Trapper, and two full-length mixtapes—all of these things combined racking up over a million downloads for the Hood (who subsequently declared themselves “internet platinum”).
