Killfix

Known for their thoughtful, catchy, melodic rock, Denver group Killfix was never supposed to become a full fledged band, let alone one that would end up becoming a regular act at some of Denver’s more notable music venues. Originally a recording project for singer-songwriter Tim Pourbaix and local musician Andrew Solanyk (Bear vs. Larger Bear) the project’s demo started generating buzz immediately. Requests for the duo to play shows followed.

Realizing that they needed more members to translate their dynamic music in a live setting, the two enlisted local cellist Peter Glenn, drummer Matt Morse, and keyboard player Eric Mocko. The new members would help strengthen the unit’s attention to song structure and detail, evident in their diverse, melodic and moody sound.

The band has since played at numerous Denver venues, sharing the stage with many popular national and local acts. Their self titled ep was released in November, 2006.

Killfix was voted one of Denver’s top underground bands by the Denver Post in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Killfix has had the priviledge of playing with bands such as The Album Leaf, The Annuals, Engine Down, These Arms Are Snakes, Rainer Maria, The Life And Times, Longwave, Crosstide, The Heavenly States, The Spinto Band, The Brunettes, The Robot Ate Me, The Little Ones, Virgil Shaw and Maritime.
